Hongling Lott

Materials science researcher

Thin film photovoltaics, materials science

National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Golden, CO, USA

My name is Hongling Lott. I am an experimental materials science researcher.

I believe that we can understand the physical world better, one atom and one compound at a time -- with better understanding, we can create a better world.

I achieve this vision using my expertise in synthesizing semiconductor thin films and nanostructures, using molecular beam epitaxy (MBE), for basic science, quantum, energy, and defense research.

My current primary research area is the fundamental science of thin-film solar cells. Within this area, I focus on the study of group V doping mechanisms of CdTe.

I am currently on the job market for academic and industry positions in the United States*

In academia, I am looking for assistant professor positions in, but not limited to, the Materials Science and Engineering Department, Physics Department, and Energy Science Department.

In the industry, I am seeking industry pathfinding R&D positions in semiconductor materials engineering or optoelectronic devices.
